Description

• It is a small evergreen and fast-growing tree. It grows in a garden for ornamental.
• The tree is often planted as an ornamental, shade or roadside tree in coastal zones.
•  In India and on Pacific islands the tree is planted as a live fence and along the coast as protection against erosion.
• Thespesia populnea is a sacred tree in many parts of the Pacific, where it has often been planted near temples and is used in traditional ceremonies.
•  It is also considered suitable for light construction, flooring, wall panelling, interior trim, precision equipment, toys and novelties, and pattern making. The wood can be used as firewood.
